WITH the torrential downpours at the weekend all but one game was abandoned in the Middlesex County Cricket League.
Stanmore missed the chance to leapfrog rivals Eastcote in the third team's Division One match when they somehow managed to get through their match against Finchley at the weekend.
But the home side would rather have seen their match rained off too and share one point each - like the rest of the sides in the division - as they saw their 186 for seven (declared) chased down by Finchley.
