Harry Kane’s 100th Premier League goal rescued a point for Tottenham in a 2-2 draw at Liverpool with an injury-time penalty after the striker had missed from the spot moments earlier.
In a dramatic finish the Premier League’s top goalscorer took his tally to 22 with virtually the last kick of the game after the visitors’ second controversially-awarded penalty in the final 10 minutes.
After Kane’s missed effort Liverpool thought they had snatched victory when Mohamed Salah scored an individually brilliant goal – his second of the game – with the clock well past 90 minutes, only for Spurs’ England international to take his second chance.
In an enthralling game substitute Victor Wanyama had sparked the turnaround with a ferocious drive seconds after coming on.

Star man – Mohamed Salah
Salah took his tally to 21 goals in just 25 Premier League games with another brace. His first was handed to him on a plate, although the finish was cool, but the second was all his own work and looked to have earned the Reds three points until Kane’s late penalty.
Stat of the match
Salah’s goal saw him become the fastest Liverpool player in Premier League history to reach 20 league goals, taking just 25 games. No Red has achieved the landmark so quickly in more than a century.
Ref watch
A busy afternoon for Jon Moss, who was called upon to make a number of marginal decisions. He spent a long time discussing the first penalty with his assistant and Kane may have been fortunate, with contact minimal. Moss did not appear to have spotted Virgil Van Dijk’s foul on Erik Lamela but trusted his assistant in giving a second penalty.
