London Borough of Harrow swimmers ended the Regional Age Group Championships with a cluster of records and medals.

The borough added another four national qualifiers to the six already through.

Multiple medalists included Lucas Dyson Diaz, Ziggy Webster, with an outstanding national qualifying time, and Jasmine Loh.

Pavan Marwaha, Jack Stevens and the boys’ 200m freestyle relay team of Kevin Ranawera, Webster, Robert Dos Santos and Rory Duncan also picked up medals, qualifying for the nationals.

The girls medley team of Marwaha, Laura Barnes, Chloe Jacobs and Honey Butterworth came home in third place in a superb show of desire and speed.

Head coach Marc Spackman said: “Ten national qualifiers is a fabulous result considering that three years ago when I came to Harrow there were none.

“It has taken a vast amount of work from the team at the Borough of Harrow Swimming Club.

“The teachers have doubled the quality of coaching and sold the dream of success extremely well to our swimmers.

“Over the next few years we must continue to push and above all believe that we can be the best.

“I’m very impressed with the dynamics of the team and looking forward to the final push of the season.”
