Harrow Borough signed off their home pre-season preparations at Earlsmead ahead of the new Bostik Premier League season next weekend, with a 3-1 victory over Egham Town on Saturday.

The win was overshadowed by a serious looking injury to new Borough summer signing Bajram Pashaj – who incidentally joined Harrow from Egham – after he was taken to hospital late on with a nasty ankle injury later confirmed as a fracture and ligament damage.

It is a severe blow for Borough boss Steve Baker who has already lost captain Marc Charles-Smith after the striker joined league rivals Wingate & Finchley over the summer.

New look Harrow, who only avoided relegation thanks to a reprieve last season, begun brightly and netted twice in the first half thanks to former Watford winger Michael Bryan.

Egham Town, now managed by former Brentford striker Chris Moore, reduced the arrears in the second period before Harrow confirmed the win with a third goal courtesy of Tayo Coker who finished well after good work by Bryan and Kurtis Cumberbatch.

Harrow conclude their set of pre-season fixtures away to Evo-Stik League South East side Hanwell Town tonight, before hosting Harlow Town on the opening day in the league on Saturday.
