A brace of braces from Elliot Benyon and Abobaker Eisa gave Wealdstone a crushing 6-1 win over Reading Under-23s as their bright start to pre-season continued at Grosvenor Vale on Saturday.

Last season's top-scorer and the Uxbridge summer signing, who has been in fine form since his move, saw their goals added to by Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick and Michael Anastasiou.

Reading had started the better in north west London and could had led inside nine minutes when Ben House proved a couple of inches too short to meet Teddy Howe's cross from the right.

But 21 minutes in the hosts opened the scoring, as Hippolyte-Patrick's drive was deflected beyond Gabe Rosario.

And the Stones were up and rolling when Benyon sent the Reading keeper the wrong way from the spot, after Matty Whichelow had been felled in the box.

The Royal box soon became the centre of attention, with Eisa and Benyon both netting before the hour mark.

Alex Andresson beat Jonathan North from range with a fine effort to restore some pride, but Eisa restored their four-goal advantage soon after.

Anastasiou, a former QPR youth player, made it six in the dying minutes, drilling home to complete an impressive rout, and make it three wins and two draws from the Stones' five pre-season games to date.

Wealdstone: North; Oshodi, Brown, Hill, Okimo; Cox, Whichelow; Hyppolyte-Patrick, Wellard, Eisa; Benyon.
