Former player James Gray will swap the pitch for the dugout at Grosvenor Vale after returning to Wealdstone seven years after he first left the club.
Gray has more than 100 appearances for the Stones under his belt, scoring 11 goals, and was a fans' favourite until his departure in 2010.
He has since served as joint-manager of local rivals St Albans City, but will return to the Vale as a member of Wealdstone's management team to work under Gordon Bartlett.
Gray said he was "over the moon" to be back in Ruislip for a second spell with the club.
"An opportunity has arisen, Gordon’s invited me in and I’m looking forward to a new challenge," he said. "I’ve known Gordon a long time now, I know how he works, obviously I’m coming back in a different capacity but I’m pretty honoured to be coming in to a club that’s really close to my heart.
"I had a great three or four years at Wealdstone and I’m looking forward to the challenge of trying to get them to the promised land of the National League."
