A last-gasp equaliser spared Wealdstone's blushes and salvaged a 1-1 draw with Hemel Hempstead at Grosvenor Vale.

Kyle Connolly had given the visitors the lead inside 20 minutes shortly before Aryan Tajbakhsh was sent of for the second time in four games minutes later.

Former West Ham youngster Callum Driver's red card levelled up proceedings in the local derby with 19 minutes remaining, but it took until the final 90 seconds of normal time for the Stones to get rolling - and Green levelled up with a fine strike.

Gordon Bartlett made a sole change to the side thrashed by Eastbourne Borough last time out, with Matty Whichelow replacing the in-form Joe White.

Ricky Wellard was denied by a smart save from Jamie Butler early on, but fell behind to Connolly's simple finish past Jonathan North, when Driver's header rebounded into his path.

Tajbakhsh, who had seen a red card rescinded for an elbow against Concord Rangers only a few weeks prior, could have fewer arguments against being dismissed for an off-the-ball incident with Charlie Sheringham within a couple of minutes.

A game of few chances saw Wealdstone appear the better side even with a man down, and parity was restored when Driver saw red for kicking Sellers in an increasingly firey encounter.

Two minutes from time White, on as a substitute, missed what looked a sure equaliser - but a minute later Green picked up a cleared cross on the edge of the box, and after finding space slotted beyond Butler to earn the hosts a point.

Wealdstone: North; Brown, Oshodi, Hamblin (Benyon 77), Sellers; Tajbakhsh, Wellard (Wright 36), Cox, Whichelow, Green; Fitchett (White 84).

Not used: Godfrey, Parker.
