Harrow too strong for Loudwater and Uxbridge

Harrow Bowls Club picked up two home wins in the Three Counties League after victories over Loudwater and Uxbridge.

The team clinched a 94-83 win over Loudwater while Uxbridge were beaten 93-55.

In the Potts Trophy, the side defeated West Harrow 97-68.

The Vets A team also overcame West Harrow in the Vets Cup by 61 shots to 44.

Jim Hughes, George King and Graham Williams won round six of the Middlesex Triples and progressed into the quarter-finals.

Captain Magan Kanjia won his Harrow and District Singles against Alex Grove from Ladygate and progressed into the last eight.

He also won the Two Woods against last year's champion David Hopwood of Harefield and progressed into the quarter-final.

The score for the singles was 14 shots to 2 shots and in the two woods 21-18.
