Harrow Borough sealed a confidence boosting 3-0 away win at Bognor Regis Town on Tuesday night.

The hosts enjoyed the better of the first half but were denied on several occasions by Boro goalkeeper Elvijs Putnins.

The Reds keeper was forced to save from Steve Harper as the Rocks came close to taking the lead.

Dave Anderson’s side opened the scoring in the second half when Simeon Akinola made some space for himself and curled a shot into the corner of the net.

Boro doubled their lead when Michael Peacock rose to head home Garry Jones’ free-kick.

The Reds added their third goal ten minutes from the end when striker Akinola burst into the area and fired past the home goalkeeper.

It was a welcome victory for Boro following their 3-1 home defeat to Canvey Island in the Ryman Premier on Saturday.

Kevin Dobinson’s late first-half effort put the visitors in front at the break.

Alwayne Jones was brought on at half-time and the substitute made an immediate impact as he set up Joakim Ehui for the equaliser.

But Bradley Woods-Garness restored the lead for Canvey Island and they netted the third goal through Ashley Dumas.

Boro’s excellent away victory at Bognor Regis Town has taken them up 12th position in the table.

The Reds have arranged a friendly on Monday night as they host Potters Bar.
