Wealdstone brushed aside Feltham after a convincing 6-0 away win in the Middlesex Senior Cup last night.

The Ryman Premier side were far too strong for the Combined Counties team as they booked a trip to Uxbridge in the next round of the competition.

With Richard Jolly and Shabazz Baidoo sidelined with hamstring injuries, manager Gordon Bartlett was forced into making a number of changes to his side.

The Stones immediately took control of the contest against Feltham and almost grabbed an early lead but Peter Dean sent his effort wide of the target.

It was not long before the goals started to flow with Alex Dyer opening the scoring when he headed home Lee Chappell’s cross.

The Stones soon extended their lead when Dyer kept his composure to neatly lob the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper.

Tom Pett set up the third goal for the away side when he broke clear and released Dean for a simple finish.

Wealdstone netted the fourth goal of the evening before half-time when Dean raced clear and neatly tucked the ball home to put the game beyond the hosts.

Feltham changed their goalkeeper in the second half but it made no difference as they conceded a fifth goal when Dyer curled the ball home to complete his hat-trick.

The replacement keeper was kept busy with a string of saves but still could not keep out the sixth of the game as one of his defenders put through his own net.

Wealdstone travel to Merstham in the FA Trophy this weekend.

The Stones will start the tie as favourites against the Ryman Division One side.
