Harrow Borough limped out of the Middlesex Senior Cup after a 1-0 defeat at North Greenford United last night.
The Reds’ run of games without scoring stretched to three matches after another impotent attacking display.
Dave Anderson’s side started brightly enough but failed to take the lead when Evrando Delgado volleyed the ball against the crossbar.
Borough’s second-half performance simply wasn’t up to scratch and it was no surprise when the hosts netted the winner after 70 minutes.
James Awofisan shrugged off a challenge from Danny Leech and tucked his effort past goalkeeper Will Viner.
The visitors were unable to offer much in response as they tamely exited the competition.
The Reds also lost 1-0 at home to Lewes in the Ryman Premier on Saturday.
Boro fell behind in the seventh minute at Earlsmead when Harry Harding picked up the ball and fired it past Viner.
New striker Danny Buckle was brought on for the final 15 minutes but was unable to get into the game.
It was another uninspired performance from Boro as they looked short of ideas.
This was their eighth league defeat of the campaign and left Anderson’s team with just 19 goals from their first 18 matches.
The Reds entertain Lewisham Borough in the fifth round of the London Senior Cup this weekend.
