Wealdstone ruined manager Gordon Bartlett's 1000th game in charge after they capitulated to a 4-2 home defeat to Waltham Abbey on Saturday.
The Stones seemed to be in control after leading 2-0 at half-time against the Ryman Premier's bottom club. But four second-half goals without reply left Wealdstone in a state of disbelief.
Mark E'Beyer opened the scoring after 19 minutes when he finished smartly from Marvin McCoy.
McCoy set up the second goal on the stroke of half-time when his throw was headed in by skipper James Gray.
But the Stones failed to turn up in a dreadful second-half display. The comeback started when Billy Holland netted in the 68th minute and former player Andy Keepence smashed in the equaliser.
The hosts conceded a penalty which enabled James Elmes to fire Waltham Abbey in front for the first time.
A poor clearance by goalkeeper Sean Thomas provided the visitors with the fourth goal to complete a disastrous afternoon for Wealdstone.
