Tottenham Hotspur have made a number of seats available to MK Dons season ticket holders for their Carabao Cup game with Watford.

The second round tie is controversially to be held at the League Two club’s ground due to Spurs’ new stadium being incomplete and Wembley already being used – a decision which Watford believe undermines the competition.

The Hornets argued the game should have been played at Vicarage Road instead, as has been the case when sides can’t fulfil home fixtures in Premier League games in the past.

Fans who purchase the tickets will be situated in the Spurs section of the ground but will not be able to select where they sit.

Both season ticket holders and Milton Keynes members will be able to purchase tickets.

However, members will only be permitted to buy seats providing they have registered before the end of today (Tuesday, September 18).

While the location of the cup tie is far from ideal for Watford supporters, they will hope the Hornets can put such concerns to one side and advance to the third round.

The Golden Boys have not advanced to that stage of the competition since the 2013/14 season when they lost 3-2 after extra time against Norwich City.

Spurs, meanwhile, are looking to end a lengthy wait to win silverware which spans back to them winning the competition in 2008.
