Watford have completed the signing of Spanish full-back Marc Navarro from Esapnyol.
The 22-year-old put pen to paper on a five-year deal to become the Hornets third signing of the summer and joins for an undisclosed fee.
Watford chief executive Scott Duxbury took the chance to welcome a player who he claims has been on the radar of a number of clubs to Vicarage Road.
He told the Watford website: “Marc has attracted interest from a host of top European clubs, therefore we are delighted to have secured his services.”
Navaro, who operates as a right-back, came through the ranks at Barcelona before departing the Camp Nou for Espanyol at the age of 16.
He made 24 appearances for Espanyol last season, scoring one goal, and helped Espanyol to an 11th place finish in the La Liga last term.
The Spaniard will add further competition at right-back, where Watford already have Daryl Janmaat and Kiko Femenia as options.
