Sebastian Prodl says it is hard to predict where Watford will strengthen throughout the rest of the summer but expects a number of changes to take place at the club.
So far the Hornets have announced the signings of Ben Wilmot from Stevenage and Gerard Deulofeu from Barcelona.
Prodl expects plenty more arrivals and departures, but has faith in Watford owner Gino Pozzo and the rest of the Watford board to continue delivering stability at the club.
“It is difficult to say what will happen [with signings] and it depends on who leaves the club,” Prodl said.
“I think as we all know the people who run the club have done a great job to get us promoted. We have had no stress to stay in the Premier League.
“They have done a good job so far, so hopefully we can continue like this.”
Watford will go into the 2018/19 campaign with the stability of having Javi Gracia at the helm after he helped secure Premier League football for a fourth straight year last term.
They will hope for a less disruptive season next term and Prodl will also look for greater consistency in both performance and fitness.
The Austrian believes his displays last season were in keeping with the wider problems suffered by Watford, as Marco Silva was sacked in January.
“I think my situation sums up the club’s situation and it was up and down all season. We had a pretty good start with Marco Silva then had the troubles with him being sacked,” he said.
“We got a new coach who got us back on track and then the last couple of games, like every season we dropped some points.
“It was the same for me when I started the season well and then wasn’t selected. I had some problems with fitness after getting injured with the national team.
“I got back to my best and had some good games with the new coach and the last couple of weeks I was out again with health problems.”
