Javi Gracia believes Abdoulaye Doucoure is already at a big club after attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was in attendance on Monday as Doucoure dominated at the heart of midfield in a 4-1 win over Chelsea.
The Frenchman’s performances have been one of the highlights of this season and it is little surprise he is attracting admiring glances, but Gracia wants to see Doucoure remain at Watford for the long-term.
“I think he is playing well like all the team,” Gracia said. “I think he is in a big club at Watford. I hope and wish that he’ll be with us for more time.
"I said about Doucoure and other players, I'm happy with their level and I'd like them to stay with us.
“We got the victory in the last match because we played like a team and won like a team. I don’t want to speak about individual players.”
