Watford winger Richarlison has avoided punishment for an alleged dive during Saturday’s dramatic 2-1 win over Arsenal.
Reports in national media claimed the Brazilian would be scrutinized by the Football Association, but any investigation against the 20-year-old has found him innocent of any wrongdoing.
The incident occurred in the second half at Vicarage Road as Richarlison went down in the box under a challenge from Hector Bellerin, despite little contact appearing to be made.
Troy Deeney dispatched the spot kick to set up a grand-stand finish, which ultimately saw Tom Cleverley score an injury-time winner to seal Marco Silva’s first home win as Watford boss.
Having avoided punishment, Richarlison, who has been a revelation since joining the Hornets in the summer, will be available to face Chelsea on Saturday.
