It was an odd game at the Hawthorns yesterday. Watford could, on another day, have snuck another win like they did at Swansea seven days prior, but in the end a point felt enough like three with Richarlison's 95th-minute equaliser.

An awful spell of defending mid-way through the first half allowed West Brom the opportunity to score twice, and they could have had more with the Hornets midfield and defence at sixes and sevens.

That was bookended by what was actually a good start and finish to the opening 45 minutes from Marco Silva's side - and they pulled a goal back through Abdoulaye Doucoure just before half-time.

It was attack versus defence after the break, with Watford going on to enjoy just under two thirds of possession overall; but just as the hosts thought they'd done enough to see out victory, up popped Richarlison - again - for a last minute goal to steal a share of the points.

Here's how the players rated in the West Midlands:

Heurelho Gomes - 4.5
An afternoon to forget for the Hornets number one, who was beaten too easily at his near post for the first goal, and was nowhere to be seen for the second. Had another couple of rough moments after half-time.

Kiko Femenia - 6
Exposed during the first half as West Brom had a lot of joy down their left-hand side, but improved after the break. The quietest he has looked going forward during his brief spell in Hertfordshire to date.

Christian Kabasele - 5.5
An excuse of a challenge on Rondon was never going to stop the big Venezuelan from opening the scoring, and he and Mariappa got caught out big time in the 20 minutes that followed from worryingly simple balls in behind. Better after that.

Adrian Mariappa - 5
Struggled to contain Rondon all afternoon, which was a surprise as the 30-year-old normally relishes a physical battle. Along with Kabasele, gave the home front-line too much space before half-time.

Harrow Times:

Jose Holebas - 6.5
Was looking poor early on and didn't have an especially great game defensively throughout, but can't argue with his perfect set-piece to level in injury time.

Abdoulaye Doucoure - 7
Struggled to dominate the midfield battle for the second week in a row, and may be missing regular partner Nathaniel Chalobah in that respect. But scored a vital goal and still rarely gives the ball away (not that it scans quite as well).

Etienne Capoue - 6
Just doesn't have the workrate of Chalobah and never quite seems to know what role he has in the side. He's not a holding midfielder, he doesn't work enough to be box-to-box. Better than he was mostly last season but may struggle to get a prolonged run.

Harrow Times:

Andre Carrillo - 6.5
Should have pulled the Hornets back into the game just before Doucoure got his goal, and was tricky at times without having a major impact on the game.

Tom Cleverley - 5.5
Just didn't look up to his normal self, was off the pace for the first goal and never even tried to close down Grzegorz Krychowiak. Played a couple of nice balls through after half-time but not one of his better performances.

Richarlison - 7.5
Never stops running, never stops trying. This kid is going to be something special. Made Watford's first and scored their second, and was their brightest attacking threat.

Harrow Times:

Troy Deeney - 6.5
Drifted in and out of the game as Watford saw more and less of the ball in attacking areas, and never really had the beating of Jonny Evans or Ahmed Hegazi in the air. Did well holding the ball up though.

Substitutes

Roberto Pereyra (for Capoue 67) - 6.5
A positive impact and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him start in the hole against Arsenal in a fortnight. A couple of lovely little flicks and generally bright.

Andre Gray (for Carrillo 75) - 6
Looked eager to impress but had little opportunity to do so. Had one half-chance but was blocked by Gareth Barry.
