Watford left it late to put themselves into the record books yesterday and keep up their 100-per-cent record on the road at the Liberty Stadium.

The Swans will feel hard pressed to have missed out on a deserved point after Marco Silva's ill-conceived decision to go 5-4-1 after half-time, starving Watford of a fifth man in midfield which had seen them win the battle for the middle of the park so successfully before the break.

However, while Swansea's territorial advantage was vast in the second half, Heurelho Gomes was barely worked throughout, and that was due to the brave performances of the three centre-backs in front of him.

Unsurprisingly they lead the ratings from South Wales - and here's the rest of the bunch who took Watford to sixth in the table:

Heurelho Gomes - 6.5
Did superbly to keep out Wilfried Bony's shot at all in his one real save all game, before Tammy Abraham tapped home the rebound. Solid when needed to command his box.

Harrow Times:

Kiko Femenia - 6.5
Looks superb going forward, but still a little suspect defensively at times. Martin Olsson had a fair amount of joy down the Swansea left after half-time, but the Spaniard's pace, as much as anything else, will always help to get him out of trouble.

Adrian Mariappa - 8
A man-mountain at the back, won so much in the air all afternoon and put in a vital challenge on Abraham when the Swansea striker was ready to put the hosts in front.

Christian Kabasele - 7.5
Another excellent 90 minutes from Kabasele, who is starting to look like the first name on the team-sheet in defence. With Mariappa, headed and kicked everything launched into the box, and was superb all afternoon.

Jose Holebas - 7
Kyle Naughton had a fair amount of joy against Watford's first-choice full back, but equally the Greek defender wasn't exactly overrun. Put in some decent set-piece deliveries in both halves.

Abdoulaye Doucoure - 6
Lucky to be on the pitch after a couple of risky challenges when already on a yellow card, looked a little lost without Nathaniel Chalobah alongside him and wasn't his normal exuberant self.

Harrow Times:

Tom Cleverley - 6.5
We get bored of writing this sometimes, but same-old same-old from the improved Cleverley this season, keeping play ticking over without anything too exciting.

Andre Carrillo - 7
Easily the best player on the pitch before the break, but starved of service after it. The first time he's looked fully match-fit, and linked up well with Femenia until the change in formation.

Etienne Capoue - 6.5
Looks like a man who is on a mission to force his way back into the team, and did more running than we saw from him during most of last season. However, still gave the ball away fairly regularly and was hooked surprisingly at half-time.

Richarlison - 7
Not for the first time, shone more as the game wore on - and became Watford's main outlet in the final quarter of the match after starting quietly. Sheer persistence earned him a memorable last-minute winner, and he's writing his name into folklore rather rapidly.

Andre Gray - 7.5
Excellent before half-time and deserved at least one goal. Didn't do much wrong with a chance blocked by Alfie Mawson even before his 13th-minute opener, and looked so confident as a result. Like his attacking team-mates, was a passenger for much of the second period.

Harrow Times:

Substitutes

Molla Wague (for Capoue, 46) - 7
Not as involved as his defensive colleagues after his introduction, but for a player without any real first-team football for more than a year, looked solid enough.

Roberto Pereyra (for Carrillo, 74) - 6.5
Looked bright off the bench and helped to wrestle back control of the game in the final 15 minutes. Could've had a penalty late on as Watford looked for an unlikely third in injury time.

Troy Deeney (for Gray, 84) - 7
A six-minute cameo isn't normally worthy of a rating but having had one shot saved and then made the winner with a lovely bit of defending from the front, Deeney showed just how much he wants to get back into the starting line-up yesterday.
