Harrow Borough eased to a 3-0 win over Spelthorne Sports on Saturday, in the wake of losing captain Marc Charles-Smith, who has joined Wingate and Finchley.
The Boro scored early through Anthony O'Connor at Spelthorne Sports Club, following a fine move down the hosts' left.
They could have doubled their advantage long before they did, only to find Spelthorne's goalkeeper in good form.
A well-delivered corner eventually delivered the second goal of the day, with Adam Richards heading home from close range.
George Moore added a third after half-time following a raft of substitutions, to wrap up a comfortable victory.
The club were without captain Marc Charles-Smith for their latest friendly, after confirming the 32-year-old striker had left the club last week after three-and-a-half years at Earlsmead.
The forward scored 68 times in 202 games for the Boro, and he is likely to come up against his old team-mates this season, having already signed for fellow Isthmian Premier League side Wingate.
