Watford will net around £2million for Uche Agbo's transfer to Standard Liege, which was confirmed yesterday.
The Belgian club announced Agbo's signing on their official website - but no mention of the transfer has been made by Watford, in the same tone to a number of other outgoings who had never set foot inside Vicarage Road.
Reports in Agbo's home country of Nigeria had suggested the 21-year-old was set to only join the Belgian First Division side on loan.
But the Watford Observer understands he has signed a four-year deal, with Liege paying €2.5million for the midfielder.
Agbo enjoyed some of the best defensive statistics of young players among Europe's top five leagues last season, but work permit issues appear to have killed off any hope of a career in the Premier League. for now.
