He might have yet to don the Hornets shirt, but Uche Agbo has been busy making his mark on opposition forwards in La Liga this season.

The 20-year-old Nigerian holding midfielder won 77 tackles in his 31 games for the relegated side last season, the fourth-highest number of any Under-21 player in any of Europe's top five leagues.

That list encompasses the Premier League, La Liga, the Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1, and only Bayer Leverkusen's Benjamin Henrichs, Sampdoria's Lucas Torreira and Dani Ceballos of Real Betis made more successful challenges.

Agbo won 66 per cent of his attempted tackles during the season, too, the second-highest across the divisions, behind only Henrichs in the standings among many of Europe's most promising youngsters.
