Watford are being linked with young French full-back Ferland Mendy from French second division side Le Havre.
The Hornets are not the only club reportedly after the 21-year-old, with Everton, as well as a number of Ligue 1 sides, are also keen on the youngster.
French sports newspaper L’Equipe suggests Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux and Lille are all chasing Mendy this summer.
Mendy was a big part of Le Havre’s team last season, starting 34 out of their 38 league games, scoring two goals and adding five assists.
The young full-back only has a year left on his contract on the French north coast, and is believed to be worth in excess of £4 million.
