Watford are reportedly facing a fight with Arsenal for the signature of highly-rated Toulouse goalkeeper Alban Lafont.
Lafont became the youngest ever goalkeeper in the French top flight when he made his debut at the age of 16 years and 310 days in November 2015, and has since gone on to make 49 appearances in Ligue 1.
Lazio and Arsenal have both also cast their eye over the 18 year old, and the Hornets are likely to face further competition to sign one of world football's most promising talents between the sticks.
He was first linked with Watford late last year, with Watford keen to improve their goalkeeping ranks due to the age of current number one Heurelho Gomes, who turns 36 on Wednesday.
Head coach Walter Mazzarri is also unsure of Costel Pantilimon's ability to deputise, and has yet to hand the Romanian stopper a Premier League start this season.
