Blackburn Rovers are hopeful Watford defender Tommie Hoban can return from injury next month.

The 22-year-old suffered a dislocated shoulder in October which resulted in him needing surgery.

Hoban sustained the injury while training for the Championship club where he has made ten appearances during a season-long loan.

But Blackburn boss Owen Coyle is optimistic his side, who are battling to stay in the division, will be able to call on the Hornets defender by next month.

Coyle told the club website: "He's got a meeting with the surgeon that did his operation and then hopefully he can get the all-clear.

"To my mind I would love to have Tommie available from the middle of February towards the end of the month because that would add a real quality player."
