Watford head coach Walter Mazzarri insists his side did not underestimate Burnley after their 2-0 defeat last night.
The Hornets travelled to Turf Moor with optimism after their superb victories over West Ham United and Manchester United.
But Watford were a shadow of the side which impressed so much in the previous games as they were turned over by the Clarets.
The Hornets boss does not believe his team were guilty of over confidence but did reserve praise for Sean Dyche's side after the result.
Mazzarri said: “We didn’t underestimate the game but I have to say congratulations to Burnley because they were very good today and aggressive.
"They played a very good game and I have to give compliments to the other team."
