Walter Mazzarri is not expecting an easier game for Watford at Burnley on Monday night despite coming into the game off the back of their memorable win over Manchester United.

The Hornets have got off to a much better start than many expected after a difficult fixture list in the opening five Premier League games.

Watford travel to face Sean Dyche's Burnley on Monday night with expectations rising for the visitors after their recent wins over West Ham and Man United.

But Mazzarri insists their opponents, who are 16th in the table, deserve their full attention and he is expecting a difficult test at Turf Moor.

The Watford head coach said: "I have big respect for Burnley and they’re a strong team. It’s a different type of game and not necessarily an easier game. We have big respect for Burnley and the way they play.

"They won against Liverpool and that shows they are strong. That’s what we need to reflect on and that they won against a big team like Liverpool.

"We just need to reflect and understand how they won and how well they played. It’s a difficult away game and not an easy away match.”
