Wealdstone boss Gordon Bartlett, who is entering his 21st season in charge of the Stones, has signed a two-year deal to remain manager of the National League South side.

The 59-year-old has been Stones boss since 1995, winning four promotions duriong his 20-year stint at the helm, the most recent of which saw the Middlesex side reach the step two of the non-league pyramid.

Speaking to the club's website, chairman Howard Krais said: "I’m delighted that Gordon has committed himself to the club for the next two years.

"His track record is second to none and I have seen time and time again how many players are attracted to Wealdstone simply because of Gordon Bartlett.

"The respect for Gordon throughout the game is totally deserved. He is a pleasure to work with, a true Wealdstone legend and I look forward to continue driving the club forward with Gordon for years to come."

Bartlett, who is a school teacher, spent time with Portsmouth, Denver Dynamos, Slought Town and Brentford during his playing career before beginning his coaching career at Hounslow in 1986 and has since bossed Yeading and Southall.
