Bessborough lost by five wickets against Harrow in the Middlesex County Cricket League Division Three on Saturday after being bowled out for just 81 in 22 overs.

Harrow reached their target within 16 overs, despite Neal Patel taking three for 24. Bessborough now lie second from bottom in the table.

The Seconds comfortably defeated Kenton Seconds, scoring 296, with half centuries from William Grogan (53), Mitesh Vyas (53) and Vivek Patel (70).

Kenton were bowled out for 186, with Vyas taking four for 62.

The Thirds picked up a winning draw against South Hampstead Fourths, declaring on 268 for six, with Richard Edmands (56) and Nandesh Patel (50 not out) in the runs; South Hampstead finished on 134 for four.

The Fourths also came away with a winning draw, declaring on 218 for nine after a fine innings from Richard Wilson (91 not out), but were unable to take the requisite wickets.

West Harrow edged to victory by one wicket against Crouch End, who were all out for 171, Naved taking five for 61.

West Harrow were indebted to a fifth wicket partnership of 97 between Zawar Hussain (63) and Vipul Parmar (37) before a flurry of late wickets led to a tense finish.

The Seconds bowled out Swamibapa for 84, with lethal spells from captain Janaksin Jhala (six for 47) and Abhi Patel (four for nine) – who took a hat-trick – and knocked off the runs for the loss of four wickets.

The Thirds beat Hornsey by 54 runs, hitting 223 in 48 overs, with a century from Vidit Pathak.
