West Harrow had to settle for a frustrating draw against bottom side Perivale Phoenicians in Middlesex Championship Division One on Saturday.

For the second week running West Harrow hit more than 300 but failed to press home the advantage by failing to bowl out the opposition.

On a plum batting track, West Harrow having been put into bat, reached 322 for seven.

The two major contributions to the score came from siblings Zawar and Kamber Hussain who hit 95 and 81 respectively.

In reply Perivale Phoenicians never looked like reaching the target but also survived comfortably as they finished on 227 for five.

They claimed four points for a higher scoring draw to leave them fourth in the table.

West Harrow Seconds picked up their fourth win out of five in Division Two after a seven-wicket victory over Peshwa.

Bowling first, they skittled out the opposition for just 85 in 26 overs.

This was mainly thanks to strike bowler Tejpal Gohil, who took another five-wicket haul to finish with five for 12.

In reply West Harrow made easy work of knocking off the runs in 13 overs for the loss of three wickets. Sangeet Patel finished as their top scorer on 49.
