Harrow Hockey Club comprehensively outclassed bottom-of-the-table Sonning, picking up an emphatic 7-1 victory.

Tim Marshall (2), Sartajeet Singh (2), Nick Lendon and Colin Jones all got onto the score sheet for Harrow as they maintained their position at the top of the league.

Vastly-experienced Lendon opened the scoring following a penalty corner before captain Marshall struck two successive blows to Sonning.

And Harrow added another from just outside the box, whilst debutant Singh added insult to injury by scoring score two goals to build upon a close-range finish from Jones.

Harrow Seconds beat Eastcote Eagles 4-1 in a comfortable victory.

Jake Douglas-Brooks grabbed the first after some good work from the midfield.

Harving Grewal added a wonderful second goal and scored another in the second half, before a goal from Andrew Harrington sealed the win.

The ladies drew against Southgate ladies Seconds 1-1 in a top-of-the-table clash.

Harrow had only lost one game all season while Southgate were unbeaten prior to the game. It was Harrow who drew first blood as Holly Redpath powered in the opener.

Southgate equalised before half-time but there were to be no further goals as both teams settled for the point.

The ladies also picked up a 3-3 draw away at Hendon & Mill Hill.

The away side had to twice come back from a goal down and will be grateful to Kerri Lendon who kept them in touch.

Lendon then claimed her hat-trick shortly before half-time but a quick counter attacking goal from Hendon meant a share of the spoils for both teams.
