Wealdstone’s versatile midfielder Peter Dean has decided to rejoin former club Hendon.
Dean, who can play as a striker, could not be guaranteed first-team football following the Stones’ promotion to the Conference South. He has opted to move back to the Ryman Premier Division with the Greens.
Stones boss Gordon Bartlett said: “We totally respect Peter’s decision and we wish him all the very best as he returns to his old club Hendon for a second spell there.
“He has been a great servant to Wealdstone over the years he has been with us and an excellent club man, and, of course, very popular with our fans.
“He famously scored the last goal at The Vale in our championship campaign so what a fitting way to bow out at Wealdstone.”
