London Broncos have added former England hooker Scott Moore to their squad for the 2014 campaign.

The 25-year-old has been playing for the North Queensland Cowboys and made six NRL appearances last season.

Moore began his career with St Helens and became the youngest player in Super League when he made his debut for Saints in 2004 at the age of 16. He went on loan to Castleford in 2008 and Huddersfield in 2009, during which time he made his international debut for England.

After returning to St Helens he subsequently had spells at Widnes and Huddersfield before moving to Australia for the 2013 season.

He signed a two-year deal with the Cowboys but general manager of football Peter Parr said. "We have come to a mutual agreement with Scott that allows him to go home to England where he'll be able to continue his rugby league career,"

Commenting on his latest recruit London Broncos head coach Tony Rea said: “I think he’s played his best football when he’s been able to sit on a position rather than be juggled around. We’re looking to use him as a starting hooker.

“He’s gone out and grabbed some experience in the NRL so we’re looking to utilise that. I think Scott needs a good season, so it’s a win-win scenario.”
