Harrow Borough boss ready to make changes after losing trust in players

Harrow Borough manager Dave Anderson will make changes to his squad after losing trust in his players.
The Reds crashed out of the FA Cup after losing to lower league opposition in a 2-1 first qualifying round replay defeat to North Greenford United on Tuesday.
Despite opening the scoring through Rhys Murrell-Williamson, second-half goals from Liam Hind and Danny Bennell fired the Calor League Division One Central side to victory.
Anderson said: “Over the two fixtures I feel that we have fallen short of what is required. I’m looking to make changes to the squad because I’ve lost my trust in the players.
“It’s not something I wanted to do but sometimes you have to make the hard decisions. I feel that they have had enough chances.
“I accept that I have to take some responsibility as the buck stops with me but I am frustrated with the inconsistency of our performances and have lost that trust in some of the players.”
Boro were held to a 2-2 draw in the first match at home on Saturday although only a 94th minute goal from Bennell denied them victory.
The Reds led through Simeon Akinola and Murrell-Williamson but the late goal ultimately proved costly.
Anderson said: “It shows that the FA Cup is the best competition in the world. We weren’t the only shock in the round and there will be upsets all the way through it.
“There is a big difference in the quality between the divisions but in a one-off anything is possible.”
Boro will be underdogs this weekend when they travel to Ryman Premier Division leaders Maidstone United.
