A new education programme is being launched across libraries in Harrow to help support children’s learning development.

Harrow council and Cultural Community Solutions are working in partnership with Lego Education to bring Lego to libraries across Harrow.

The new Lego Education programme within Harrow’s libraries will be launched at Wealdstone Library on Thursday, July 23, from 2pm-4pm.

The libraries are inviting ten children from the borough to come along to the launch to be the first to use the new Lego resources.

If you would like to be part of the official launch please email ccslegoharrow@carillionservices.

co.uk.

The launch is the first step of Lego in libraries and in September we will be holding Lego clubs throughout Harrow.

The clubs will run weekly for children aged eight and older.

There is a small charge to join the Lego clubs, so before you sign up you are invited to attend a free taster session in the summer holidays.

The taster sessions will provide you with an insight into what exciting activities and workshops are on offer at the upcoming Lego clubs.

Portfolio holder for Community and Culture, Cllr Sue Anderson said: “Our libraries are about more than just borrowing books and the new programme gets children learning in an engaging and creative way.

“We are committed to doing the best for our children and young people so we are absolutely delighted this programme is being launched in Harrow.”
