I am sure that we all value the grass verges in our streets and avenues.
Maybe the reader who wrote to complain that Harrow Borough Council staff did not pick up the litter before cutting the grass in Maricas Avenue could step outside her door for five minutes a day and collect the litter herself.
It is easy to complain about things, but we can all help ourselves to live in a litter free environment.
I certainly manage to find the time to pick up the litter in my avenue.
