The retired former borough police commander of Harrow, Dal Babu, recently complained through the media that a fellow serving officer asked him ‘What’s the difference between Sunni and Shia?’ The fact is, this is irrelevant. Everyone in this country is free to practise their religion, whatever their beliefs and Harrow is a testament to that, where we have mosques and temples alongside churches.
We do not have religious discrimination because if we did, we might have Protestants on one side of the road and Catholics on the other.
