I refer to the letter ‘Youngs of Harrow Shop — History of Fishing Tackle’ (Your Views, February 19).
My first job was with the above establishment and my main task was whipping the eyes and ends onto the fishing rods. I remember Clive Young very well and we became good friends. This is a strange coincidence as I moved from the area 35 years ago and happened to return for a couple of days.
A copy of the Harrow Times was posted through the letterbox where I was staying and happened to fall open on the letters page and to my great surprise, I read Gary Cullum’s letter from the Otterspool Angling Club.
