I was pleased to read the letter regarding The Lighthouse Café in South Harrow, (‘Cafe is a great place to eat’, Your Views, March 5).
I am a builder, employing part-time staff when needed.
A Polish man I took on recently was singing the café’s praises — about how they helped him with free food and encouraged him.
It was nice to hear this from him and how he has advanced his life.
I have not visited the café myself yet, but now I will, when I am in the area next week.
Congratulations to those running the café for giving their time to help the less unfortunate.
It is a pity there are not more places like this.
