May I appeal through the columns of the Harrow Times for any assistance in researching history on the former fishing tackle shop Youngs of Harrow, run originally by Jack Young, then his son Clive.
Clive closed the shop some years ago and retired to the Welsh borders.
He died last year, so is no longer around to assist with compiling information on the history of old split cane rod makers and tackle dealers of yesteryear.
If any of your readers know anything about Youngs of Harrow (or indeed B James of Ealing), or have any example of tackle made by these London tackle manufacturers, I should be delighted to hear from them.
