Following on from your article ‘Plans drawn up for community space’, Harrow Times, February 5 ) we wanted to clarify a few things, following on from calls we’ve had from residents.
The article referred to Lowlands Recreation Ground as ‘former’.
This was a mistake and we want to reassure residents that Lowlands Rec is still Lowlands Rec and owned by Harrow Borough Council.
Harrow College tendered for and won the contract to run the café and performance space.
Lowlands Rec itself will remain open to the public.
This is an exciting project which will give all residents in Harrow the opportunity to enjoy a revitalised open space, with lots of exciting things going on.
Whether it’s the new flowerbeds, fruit trees, amphitheatre for a new performance space or the green gym, there will be something for everyone — it’s a great project.
We look forward to seeing lots of residents out and about in Lowlands Rec over the coming months.
