My name is Patrycja Lis and I am a sixth-form student studying A2 photography, which I would love to carry on in the future.

For my next project, I want to present a different side of ‘fashion photography’ and raise awareness that models come in all shapes and sizes and do not have to be what people see in magazines.

As my mother is a cancer survivor, this topic is very close to home. Seeing her suffer and how different people reacted to the changes in her physical appearance, inspired me to be a voice for all the young women who are made to feel as if they are not beautiful or good enough to be models.

I am organising an event in which I would like to shoot images of cancer patients in a ‘fashion’ style to show that no matter how you look, you are still beautiful and you can be a fashion model.

I would be very grateful if any Harrow readers can help me organise this as I would need cancer patients willing to get involved with my project.

People would need to be able to attend a photoshoot at my school — Rooks Heath College in Harrow — or home studio.

If I succeed, I plan to organise a charity event where members of the public can come in to view the images and have refreshments.

The money for the entry and refreshments will then be given to the Macmillan charity.
