I am a regular attendee of Harrow Central Mosque and therefore know what is happening at the mosque (‘Group launches campaign over mosque concerns’, Harrow Times, August 7).
Many of the attendees feel the mosque is not open to the community. There have been instances in which people have not been allowed to use the mosque, which naturally creates resentment.
There is a feeling that the mosque committee allows the mosque to be used by the people of their choice. Islam promotes unity and inclusivity, as all people are equal in the eyes of God Almighty.
I sincerely hope that all local people are able to benefit and enjoy this iconic mosque in future.
