I have read some of the letters in the recent issues of the Harrow Times with interest. I live near Pinner Park Farm and walk across the farm on its footpaths regularly. It is a fantastic resource for local residents.

I did attend the presentation organised by Harrow Borough Council recently. I was impressed by the proposals to allow greater access to this large area of land by making it into a country park. I voted online to allow development of the existing farm buildings only to provide money to provide finance to maintain the park for the next 20 years.

Of course, the advantage of designating the area as a country park is that it greatly improves access to much larger areas of the land of Pinner Park Farm. At present, access is limited to the few paths crossing the land.

I understand that designation as a country park also protects the site from future, more widespread, housing development.

These activities, and the generally run-down area at the centre of the park, make the central part of the area rather unattractive at present.
