I could not disagree more with the vilification of MP Bob Blackman.
Mr Blackman is to be applauded for choosing to see for himself the current situation in Gaza. It is not possible to form a balanced view without appreciating both sides of an argument.
Most of Israel’s population live within range of missiles and the iron dome is not infallible. Imagine going to sleep not knowing whether terrorists could appear via a tunnel and murder your family.
It is the duty of any responsible government to first and foremost protect citizens.
The tragedy of the population of Gaza is that they are ruled by a terrorist jihadist regime, who are the real culprits in the tragic loss of life.
Mr Blackman is to be applauded for his clear vision of the rights and wrongs of the conflict and understanding that Israel is the west’s staunchest ally in the war against Islamic extremism.
