It is not a new or a subtle technique to use a survey giving only the choice of two similar undesirable actions to justify taking one of them.

If Harrow Borough Council wishes to hear what the people want for the future of Pinner Park Farm, it should hold a proper, unbiased inquiry.

I was unable to get to the consultations, but feel it is important to preserve the farm as one of only three left in the county.

It is not just grazing a few cows as those who want to “develop” suggest, but breeding prize-winning cattle.

There does seem to be some under-used land there, but this could be employed to grow vegetables and fruit for local markets, restaurants and hotels — a bonus selling point for them as well as cutting CO2 emissions.

It would also create additional jobs and could be used as an educational resource by local schools and for family visits.

Grants are available for restoration of the buildings, which could then be used as a visitors centre and to house additional workers.
