Stanmore Choral Society is joining the award-winning Epsom and Ewell Silver Band for an evening of exciting music at its next concert in St Mary the Virgin Church in Kenton on July 12 at 7.30pm.
Under the title of Something Borrowed, Something Blue, the choir is conducted by Nick Austin in collaboration with the band’s musical director Jack Smith. The music is by composers as diverse as Bob Chilcott, Duke Ellington, Fauré, Franck, John Williams, and JS Bach. There will be an opportunity at the end of the concert for the audience to join in.
Doors will open at 7pm and the church is wheelchair accessible. Tickets cost £13 (concessions in advance from 07969 376649) and refreshments will be available.
