I saw your story about the state of Harrow cemeteries (“Cemetery looks like it’s been abandoned”, Harrow Times, June 12).
I have complained many times to Harrow Borough Council and to councillors and was told it is a budget thing and it doesn’t have enough money for gardeners.
It’s okay for them to say that, but it’s very distressing to go there and see the grass is so long that it covers the headstone. I like to go to Pinner Cemetery every day to see my baby’s grave, but it makes me cry to see the state of it. You see men in the shed but you don’t see them doing work.
