This week I have have been working hard and I have done lots of stuff, most of which I can't remember but I am sure it was all very important, or seemed so at the time.

The most enjoyable thing I did was phone up all the finalists of the Dragons Den competition which is running on 30th March. They were very excited and I look forward to an entertaining evening. We have a good spread of ideas, from rapping schools, to cycle repair workshops.

Unfortunately I am running short of money for organising it so the bottles of red and white I had planned to ensure it really was entertaining won't be on the tables. Ribena and lemonade will have to do after all.

Probably the worst thing about being a manager of staff happens at this time of year and that is the dreaded staff apprasial. I say dreaded, what I really meant was a valuable way of developing and motivating staff (my boss reads this). Anyhow, lots of people will be filling in lots of forms over the next few weeks. The important thing that I stress to my staff is that internal processes and paperwork should always take second place to our responsibilities to the public.

Good news is that if you visit the met police web site you can now see details of public meetings, ward priorities, and coming soon photographs of your individual team members. It is yet to be decided however if you will be able to print these off in poster size and pin them to your walls. Seriously though it is worth checking out the web site as it contains a wealth of information about crime, where it is happening and what we are doing to combat it.

Stay safe and enjoy the warmer weather.
