Hi For the first time ever in my life I felt important today when I gave my first ever live radio interview about the Brent Dragons Den.

The gorgeous Brent Police Press Officer Sarah Samee, and I visited the breakfast show at BANG Radio in Harlesden where we were interviewed on the Breakfast show.

We walked into a studio crammed with dials and knobs and computers and met with DJs Tee Bizness and Tamara. They were busy playing tracks and preparing traffic reports. After a sound level check we put on our headphones and were placed in front of a microphone and the interview began.

It was a little odd getting used to hearing the questions over the headphones with music being played as background. I have to say that after a slightly shaky start where I tripped over some of my words I was put completely at ease by the DJs, and I actually started to enjoy myself. Once I got into it I was, by my own estimation, brilliant.

I loved the enthusiasm I saw at the station and their dedication to entertaining young people and being at the heart of the community. The DJs were completely supportive of Brent Dragons Den, and evidently love Brent.

I can only recommend that you check out BANG Radio, especially if you are in your teens and twenties. It is a thoroughly professional music station. The station can be found online at www.bangradio.fm, or tune into 103.6 FM.

It is important that in these tough times we support our local radio stations and newspapers like the exceptional Harrow Times. If they are not around who will be there to hold the council and the police to account and represent the views of the community?.

Brent Dragons’ Den. For those who don’t know this is the chance for youths aged 13-19 to submit real ideas about feeling safer or reducing crime in Brent.
